Welcome to Stonehouse Lodge. A private 70 hectare game, working Olive and Jersey  farm situated on the tidal Goukou River Stilbaai. The navigable river, stretches down to the warm Indian Ocean at its mouth 6km away. The  game fenced farm  has a 400metre river frontage and extends inland incorporating  3 indigenous kloofs which attract, wildlife such as bushbuck, duiker and greysbok ,and many species of birds, including water fowl , and a pair of breeding fish eagles which have taken up residency. A large fresh water dam stocked with bass, provide the fishing enthusiast with excellent bass fishing opportunities. On the upper section of the farm, the visitor can walk through the olive orchard and beyond to experience the diverse indigenous fauna and flora.

The popular coastal town of Stillbaai (340km from Cape Town) is situated at the start of the Garden Route at the mouth of the Goukou River.  Stillbaai is renowned for its wonderful stretches of sandy beaches for swimming, surfing, fishing, whale watching and the tidal river and estuary, for boating, fishing and watersports.

Self Catering Accommodation is a beautiful fully furnished natural stone and thatch spacious house situated on a tranquil hillside setting. A huge wrap around veranda enables the visitor to enjoy the spectacular views of the river, glorious sunsets and view the  buck emerging from the bush to browse. The facilities have been designed for easy relaxed living and have wonderful views from the bedrooms and living areas of the Goukou River and surrounding countryside.
